The production of Coca-cola is a global operation.
In 1886 John Stith Pemberton stirred up liquid that had a carmel color. When the mixture was finished he brought it down the street to a pharmacy. The mixture was created with carbonated water and sampled by customers who then agreed that it was a new drink and was something special. Coca-cola was then made in the headquarters of Atlanta Georgia. It was made by an Atlanta pharmacist John Smith Pemberton in 1886.
John Smith Pemberton had a thought about what would happen if he mixed many of the ingredients together. In 1886 coca-cola was sold for only 5 cents per glass during the first year of it being sold.

Coca-Cola is now made by electronic tools in a factory. They have many jet streams helping clean the bottles before the go into the process of being made. They put the bottle on a machine that rotates and then proceed to put corn syrup in a bottle and carbon dioxide that is added later to make it fizzy and refreshing. Then they put the Coca-Cola on a conveyor belt to be sent for shipping. Coca-Cola is now made everywhere in the U.S. They have a Coca-Cola bottling plant in almost every country. James Quincey is the new CEO of Coca-cola and is mixing up new flavors and recipes. Coca-Cola is making about 1.9 billion dollars globally each year.
